A quick update from my little gang…

July 18th, 2011

A quick update from my little gang…

Clippi completed his first training ride a couple of months ago and fairly flew round, completing with a respectable heart rate. Last week he competed in his first competitive ride of the season. We were quick, he averaged just over 11 mph, however I took his rug off too soon at the vetting and he got cold, as a result his heart rate went upto 46. Because of this we came 3rd. We have another competitive ride on Sunday, so will watch his temperature carefully.

Noodle has been to his first show. He is looking really well on Equilbra 500, his coat is glossy and the judge was very positive about him. However he was a bit too full of himself and struggled to stand still for long. We came 6th out of 8. Not bad for a yearling in a breed class of all ages.

Note from Admin – This post has been moderated in line with VMD guidelines.

Just like to say what a marvellous product Joint Aid for Dogs is.

My Westie aged 11 has been on ——- for four years after a broken —— sustained when he was only four months old. He now takes only Joint Aid; he is like a puppy again and people can’t believe how old he is.

Many thanks GWF.

Joint Aid for Dogs was recommended by my —. She told me it was the best joint supplement on the market.

I bought it and tried it on my elderly lurcher who had been ——— from an ——. She is doing amazingly well and I will continue to use Joint Aid to help her enjoy life to the full.

Within a week of using Joint Aid for Dogs the difference was amazing!

July 18th, 2011

Hi, just thought I’d let you know how impressed I am with your product.

We have been using Joint Aid for Dogs for about a year now. My old dog is 11 year old and was having difficulty jumping up onto the sofa. We had to get a step for her. Then we started using joint aid and within a week of using it the difference was amazing. She thinks she is a young pup again jumping up and running around.

Great product.

Thanks…

I was astounded by the time I got to my second bag.

July 4th, 2011

I just wanted to say that since I was put on to Equilibra about 4 yrs ago it has made a tremendous difference to my horse.

I used to go to competitions and he would be completely hyper and so excited that when we got in the jumping ring he would just plough through the jumps. I had tried other balancers but when your rep suggested I try Equilibra I was not very impressed but I agreed to give it a go. I was astounded, by the time I got to my second bag the changeover was complete. He was a different horse. He became focused and he concentrated and most importantly he jumped. We won several competitions and championships that year.

Last year I was hacking him out with a few friends when we were hit by a car. It resulted in him having a fractured hind leg and a year off. My rep suggested to me to stay on the Equilibra and also use Joint Aid Plus. The result is he is now fully sound and back competing again . He competed at the Herts show this year. It is early days but I think he is doing very well thanks to Equilibra and Joint Aid plus.

All three of my horses are going really well since changing them onto the GWF feeding system

June 14th, 2011

All three of my horses are going really well since changing them onto the GWF feeding system and they look amazing. If ever you want to feature a grass roots rider success story on GWF let me know. My mare had to be turned away last year due to a soya intolerance that took a while to diagnose, she had been put onto a conditioning feed that contained a lot of soya to try and build her up and her behaviour became dramatically different.

She is now feed entirely on GWF products, has come back into work and has started affiliated show jumping again this month, going double clear in 3 out of her 4 outings, last year we wondered whether she would ever compete again so we are so pleased with her and your products.

Best Wishes

Lisa Haythornthwaite

June 14th, 2011

Equilibra500_Omega_25kg_Bag

In a market saturated with expensive feed balancers, GWF Nutrition appears to have hit the mark with the introduction of their updated feed balancer, Equilibra 500 + Omega 3.

With a 3 month introductory price of £23.99 (RRP £28.99) set to expire at the end of June, Marketing Director, Simon Vowles has just announced that the offer will now run until the end of the year at least.

Simon states, “We have been delighted with the strong demand for Equilibra, fuelled, in no small part by a wave of new customers migrating from much more expensive and lower specification products. As a manufacturer, we have much greater control over production costs and will do everything we can to keep prices low during these difficult financial times.”

New Equilibra 500 + Omega 3 has all the key benefits of the old Equilibra 500 product, but with the extra advantages of highly beneficial Omega 3 and a new completely Non-GM soya free formulation for peace of mind. It is also packed in a new, larger 20kg bag at an even more competitive price.

Important News for Camelibra NG-1 users…

March 30th, 2011

From the beginning of April 2011 GWF Nutrition will be replacing their coveted Camelibra NG-1 camelid feed with a new, improved version called: Camelibra NG-2 +Omega 3.

The reason for this change has been brought about by a number of key factors, namely:

GWF Nutrition has an on-going development policy that strives to improve the products it manufactures and sells. By constantly assessing both new and existing raw materials/ingredients, as well as EU approved feed additives; the company ensures that the latest health benefits are incorporated into its products where applicable.

In the last year, Hemp Seed Meal has been identified as having excellent potential to provide good quality protein, digestible fibre and high levels of Omega 3 essential fatty acids. Omega 3’s have been the subject of much research in the last five years and are now regarded as a critical part of the diet for maintaining natural health, fertility and performance in all animals.

The presence of Genetic Modification (GM) in soya protein has become a real issue for GWF Nutrition during 2010 and 2011. Despite purchasing “Identity Preserved Non GM soya” to enable them to declare their products as “Non GM”, the last four GM tests have revealed low level GM contamination in their products. Under the law, however, Camelibra NG-1 can still be classed as “Non GM” because the levels are below an industry agreed “Adventitious level”, which realistically recognizes the fact that as all types of soya go through the same port handling facilities, contamination with GM material is inevitable.

At the 2011 Alpaca Futurity Show, Technical Director: Stephen Tucker took the opportunity to discuss these matters with many of the visitors to the company’s stand. The general reactions were as follows:

GM Material

Most of the Alpaca owners did not have an issue with genetic modification and did not give it a lot of thought, though they did recognize that it would be a problem for ‘Organic’ or ‘Soil Association’ classed farms. The general consensus was that GM will be/is a reality of food production.

Hemp Seed/Omega 3’s

Everyone was pleased that GWF Nutrition are continuously developing the quality of their products. The addition of natural hemp derived Omega 3 was viewed as a positive step forward, particularly for the crucial area of skin quality and fibre production. The inclusion of hemp seed meal to replace soya bean meal, at no extra cost, in a new formula Camelibra NG-2 met with universal approval.

To date, Bozedown Alpacas have been instrumental in testing the new ‘Camelibra NG-2’ and reported that palatability and acceptability of the new ‘soya free’ product was at least as good, if not better than Camelibra NG-1

How will this affect you?

From the beginning of April 2011, GWF Nutrition will be replacing their existing Camelibra NG-1 with Camelibra NG-2 +Omega 3. This will improve the quality of the product and guarantee its ‘Non GM’ status.

For a short period, existing Camelibra NG-1 bags will be used for packaging but with Camelibra NG-2 labels sewn into the top of the bags. All prices remain the same.

For further information on new Camelibra NG-2 + Omega 3 or any of the items above, please contact GWF Nutrition on: 01225 708482 or visit: www.gwfnutrition.com.

Best ever Crufts for GWF Nutrition

March 24th, 2011
GWF Nutrition Stand was busy all 4 days.

GWF Nutrition Stand was busy all 4 days.

The GWF Nutrition stand at Crufts received record attendance this year at the NEC Birmingham. The new eye catching circular stand which was situated in Hall five was inundated with dog lovers wanting to learn more about the company’s canine range, not least, Joint Aid for Dogs, which has taken the UK market by storm.

Celebrating their second year as the official sponsor of the Kennel Club Olympia Agility Stakes in association with Joint Aid for Dogs, GWF Nutrition’s presence at the show was hard to ignore. In addition to over 5000 products samples being distributed to owners eager to improve their dog’s quality of life, main arena sponsorship hoardings, sponsored dog handlers and even televised presentations to class winners provided a high profile image commensurate with the company, its products and dedicated staff.

Laura Chudleigh and Rodney

Laura Chudleigh and Rodney

Competing at the show in the Agility competitions was Laura Chudleigh and her Collie Rodney. Laura and Rodney are sponsored by Joint Aid for Dogs which they used before they won the Kennel Club Olympia Agility Stakes in association with Joint Aid for Dogs last Christmas. Laura and Rodney finished a credible joint fifth out of 13 in the International Agility Final. The class attracted competitors from as far away as New Zealand and Australia. It was an impressive performance considering Rodney has only just turned three; the pair have an exciting future ahead of them.
